Ripley Hastings practices in the securitization industry, representing corporate trustees and other market participants in a wide range of transactions and conflicts.
Ripley has a general background in corporate and business law, including corporate finance, securities law and business litigation at the trial and appellate levels in both state and federal court.
I represent corporate trustees in all aspects of their business, assisting in the creation, administration, and dissolution of traditional and non-traditional corporate trust products; developing clear and protective documentation for the trustee role; and defending trustee institutions from inappropriate risk. In the past few years, I’ve participated in the pre-market warehousing and subsequent issuance of several billion dollars of securities in new CLO, agency, and corporate debt issuances.
In recent years, I have also represented and advised special purpose, off-shore, and on-shore issuers and co-issuers in the structured finance and insurance-linked securities markets with respect to disputes arising from the issuance, sale, and administration of structured and insurance-linked products, including securities litigation filed in New York, Tennessee, and Florida.
I see an increasingly complex environment for fiduciaries in today’s global markets. I focus on helping my clients achieve their business objectives safely.
