Patent Prosecution

I advise clients on patent protection in the electrical, mechanical, and chemical arts and I’ve helped clients obtain numerous US and international patents in those areas. I have also corresponded with foreign associates regarding issues before the EPO and other patent offices. In addition, I have drafted numerous utility patent applications for mechanical apparatus and processes, simple electrical apparatus and processes, biomedical devices, and business methods. I have produced patentability, right to practice, and invalidity opinions. I have also assisted on document production for litigation.

Patent Counseling

I regularly counsel my clients on their patent strategies. I have advised clients on international patent portfolios and have served as a primary contact for clients requesting patent-related searches. This includes costs associated with turnaround times for searches, including but not limited to patentability, state-of-the-art, clearance, invalidity, and accelerated examination.
