Sumiyo Onda is a patent agent in the Patents group. She focuses her practice on prosecuting semiconductor and related technology patent applications.
I focus my practice primarily on helping foreign-based clients get U.S. patents issued by providing the sound analysis and strategic plans based on the analysis. My other focus involves providing a Japanese language support for projects ranging from patent prosecution to litigation and counseling.
I focus on prosecution patents for the semiconductor industry as well as related technologies. I’ve worked on semiconductor and related technology patents for a number of years and am well experienced with the changes, trends and future direction of the industry, which enables me to effectively provide comprehensive services to my clients.
I also conduct patent related analyses in both English and Japanese so that the client is able to better understand the unique nature of each case. Foreign clients appreciate my ability to bridge the language gap between the firm and the client to ensure that there are no misunderstandings.
With the emerging new technologies in the semiconductor and related fields from all over the world, more and more technology companies are in tight competition with each other. I continue to assist clients in obtaining strong, comprehensive, U.S. patent protection that my clients can use as bargaining power against their rivals.
