My focus
I assist private, public, and nonprofit clients on a wide variety of issues relating to employee benefit plans and executive compensation. I help clients navigate the full spectrum of matters they face in these areas, from day-to-day regulatory compliance to major events, such as plan terminations or mergers. My experience includes drafting all manner of plan documents and participant communications, reviewing service provider agreements, and working with plan fiduciaries to mitigate risk. I understand that the compliance requirements in the benefits field can be overwhelming, and my goal is to make information accessible so clients are fully equipped to make strategic decisions.
Looking ahead
Whether by participants filing class action lawsuits in record numbers or government agencies ramping up enforcement activity, plan sponsors are increasingly called to justify their decisions in high-stakes situations. Accordingly, it is vital for plan sponsors to stay abreast of legal developments and adopt a proactive attitude toward mitigating risk.
