Brad Steinbrecher
Department Attorney
Introduction
Brad is an attorney in Nixon Peabody’s Franchising & Distribution practice.
My focus
Franchising
I represent franchisors in domestic and international franchise and trademark licensing transactions and regulatory compliance matters. I work with clients in a variety of industries, including restaurants, personal services, health care, and real estate.
In addition to providing analysis and counsel regarding federal and state franchise laws, I work with clients to draft and update franchise agreements and disclosure documents, and to obtain and renew state franchise registrations and exemptions. Internationally, I have assisted clients with franchise transactions and compliance matters in over a dozen countries.
Looking ahead
Digital innovation and the growth of AI are transforming franchise operations and the customer experience. Franchise laws worldwide are changing in response, with an emphasis on data privacy and cybersecurity, and a continued focus on employment issues and pre-sale disclosures. Companies using the franchise business model must stay alert and informed.
