Department Attorney
Brad is an attorney in Nixon Peabody’s Franchising & Distribution practice.
I represent franchisors in domestic and international franchise and trademark licensing transactions and regulatory compliance matters. I work with clients in a variety of industries, including restaurants, personal services, health care, and real estate.
In addition to providing analysis and counsel regarding federal and state franchise laws, I work with clients to draft and update franchise agreements and disclosure documents, and to obtain and renew state franchise registrations and exemptions. Internationally, I have assisted clients with franchise transactions and compliance matters in over a dozen countries.
In an existing trend, now accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, I see increased focus by franchise systems on the development of new and alternative ways to deliver products and services to consumers, including online virtual platforms, ghost kitchens, third-party delivery partnerships, and other means.
