Matthew Lynch represents commercial real estate developers and institutional owners of commercial real estate in the development, acquisition, management, leasing and disposition of commercial real estate.
Today I focus my practice in three main areas, utilizing my more than 30 years of experience to help our clients achieve their business objectives.
I have represented parties ranging from large institutional owners to family-owned or closely held real estate investment companies buying and selling office and mixed use buildings. Recently, I represented a public authority in the ground leasing of about 20 acres in Boston and a family in the sale of a high profile building in Harvard Square.
I have represented a number of large companies in leasing new office space in the Greater Boston area. Recently, I represented a large life sciences company in the leasing of over 200,000 square feet of space in the Greater Boston area for its corporate headquarters.
I have represented both landlords and tenants in leasing retail space in shopping centers and mixed use buildings. Recently, I have represented a large craft brewery in the leasing of a high profile space in Boston for use as a tap room and brewery.
As the commercial real estate industry becomes more consolidated in terms of the number of major developers and owners, having the right law firm on your side becomes even more important. This is true both in terms of the quality of the legal representation but also with respect to business connections. I add value to my clients when I make introductions such as potential debt and equity sources and referrals to quality real estate service providers such as brokers, managers and contractors.
