Nathan Warecki named as one of New Hampshire’s ’40 Under Forty’ by the Union Leader

Manchester, NH. Nixon Peabody attorney Nathan Warecki has been named as one of the New Hampshire Union Leader’s “40 Under Forty,” honoring a select group of professionals across the state.

Based in Nixon Peabody’s Manchester office, Nate is an associate in the firm’s Complex Commercial Disputes practice. His work focuses on a wide variety of matters, including commercial litigation, class actions, franchise and business disputes, non-competes and trade secrets, and immigration.

Nate currently serves as a director for Intown Concord, Inc., a nonprofit community organization helping to create and foster a vibrant downtown in Concord, transforming New Hampshire’s capital city into a culture and art destination.

He also dedicates a significant portion of time and effort to pro bono legal representation for children and immigrants. At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nate partnered with the ACLU of New Hampshire to file a lawsuit on behalf of civil immigration detainees seeking release given the risk of transmission of the virus in congregate environments. The team was able to convince the court, the jail, and the government to intervene and, among other things, release approximately two dozen non-violent and medically vulnerable immigrants into community-based monitoring programs.

Notably, Nate’s wife, Sarah—a former prosecutor and current staff attorney for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of New Hampshire—was also selected as a 2021 “40 Under Forty” honoree.

While in law school, Nate interned with the Honorable Joseph N. Laplante of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire. He was also recognized as a Daniel Webster Scholar at the University of New Hampshire School of Law.
