Providence, RI. Nixon Peabody LLP is proud to announce that Rhode Island Lawyers Weekly has selected Marc Crisafulli and Meghan Hopkins as 2025 “Excellence in the Law” honorees.
The publication recognized Marc, a counsel in Nixon Peabody’s Corporate practice, as a “Leader in the Law.” Meghan, an associate in the firm’s Healthcare practice, was recognized in the “Up & Coming Lawyers” category.
For more than three decades, Marc has served in a variety of leadership positions, including roles as general counsel, law firm managing partner, business executive, and strategic advisor to top tier global companies. He leverages these experiences to forge mutually beneficial connections among stakeholders, build high-performing teams, and offer strategic advice to businesses’ leadership teams. Marc serves as the chair of the Bally’s Rhode Island Advisory Board, as director for Priority Technology Holdings (NASDAQ: PRTH) and Pavilion Payments, and as the chair of Rhode Island’s I-195 Redevelopment District Commission. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Partnership for Rhode Island, the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, and several other community-focused organizations. Marc has the distinction of having a Rhode Island law named after him—the Marc A. Crisafulli Economic Development Act of 2021.
Meghan represents a broad range of healthcare providers, private equity firms and venture capitalists in a variety of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, and joint operating agreements. She also advises clients in the healthcare space with respect to regulatory compliance, governance, and contracting. In addition to her practice, Meghan is actively involved in the Providence community, serving as the chair of the Human Resources and Governance Committee on the Board of Trustees for McAuley Ministries and as the Secretary for The Providence Community Health Center, Inc.’s Board of Directors.
Rhode Island Lawyers Weekly’s “Excellence in the Law” list recognizes the state’s most influential attorneys and legal professionals for their impact, leadership, and contributions to the legal community. Marc and Meghan will be honored at an awards ceremony on June 3, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick.
