Manchester, NH. Nixon Peabody LLP is pleased to announce that New Hampshire Business Review has recognized partner David Vicinanzo as winner of the publication’s 2025 Business Excellence Award for Professional Services.
A member of the firm’s Government Investigations & White-Collar Defense practice, David is a trial lawyer and former federal prosecutor, serving a broad array of clients—from Fortune 100 companies to pro bono cases—in complex civil and criminal matters across New England, New York, and the Washington, DC, area. Prior to joining Nixon Peabody, David was a federal prosecutor in Washington, DC, and New England for 13 years.
During his tenure as a prosecutor, David tried or supervised cases on issues such as securities fraud, FCPA violations, environmental crime, intellectual property infringement, healthcare fraud, child protection, asset forfeiture, government contract fraud, export violations, and major racketeering. In DC, he also served as an advisor to the US Attorney General. He previously served as the Acting US Attorney for the District of New Jersey and Special Assistant US Attorney in Massachusetts. In addition, David served as the First Assistant US Attorney for the US Attorney’s Office for the District of New Hampshire.
David currently leads Nixon Peabody’s civil representation of more than 1,400 survivors of physical and sexual abuse, while they lived at New Hampshire’s former Youth Development Center (YDC) and other state-run youth detention facilities. The Nixon Peabody team has secured more than $100 million for victims so far, not including a Rockingham County Superior Court’s $38 million verdict for David Meehan, a victim of sexual and physical abuse while in State care at YDC. Meehan’s award is the largest in a contested personal injury case in the history of New Hampshire, which is now on appeal.
“This recognition is a testament to Dave’s dedication to making a difference in our local community and beyond. We are proud of his work and congratulate him on this well-deserved honor,” said Andrew Share, managing partner of Nixon Peabody’s Manchester office. “Dave is a fierce advocate for survivors of abuse, and he is deeply committed to creating healing and systemic change.”
The Business Excellence Awards honor the imagination, industriousness, innovation, and achievements of business owners and leaders in New Hampshire. David and his fellow award recipients were honored at a celebration on October 9, 2025, at Grappone Conference Center in Concord, New Hampshire.
