Rochester, NY. Nixon Peabody LLP announced that attorney Matthew Carrigg has been selected as the new managing partner of the American Lawyer top-100 firm’s Rochester office.
Matt, who joined Nixon Peabody in 2015 as a junior associate and was elected partner in 2021, will maintain his Affordable Housing & Real Estate practice in addition to his role as office managing partner. Matt has substantial experience in all aspects of commercial real estate matters, as well as with complex financings of affordable housing developments.
As office managing partner, Matt succeeds Jared Lusk, who led the office for the past nine years. Jared will continue his practice in the firm’s Affordable Housing & Real Estate group, working on real estate development, renewable energy projects, and municipal law, including planning, zoning, and the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act.

He earned his JD from Syracuse University College of Law and his BA, cum laude, from St. Lawrence University.
