Providence, RI. Law.com selected Nixon Peabody partner and Chief Talent Officer Stacie B. Collier for its New England Best Mentor award as part of the legal trade publication’s New England Legal Awards.
Stacie joined Nixon Peabody more than 25 years ago as an associate attorney. She became partner and took on executive leadership roles—such as co-chairing the firm’s Labor & Employment practice, serving as Nixon Peabody’s professional personnel partner, and being involved in the firm’s steering committees—all the while raising her own family.
With this background and experience, Stacie embodies Nixon Peabody’s commitments to its legal talent and its people. She understands the resources and mentoring that attorneys need to succeed at every stage of their careers and specifically curated the firm’s Legal Talent Department to include critical attorney-centric functions around Attorney Development & Retention, DEI, Engagement & Performance Optimization, Recruiting & Integration, and Social Impact. Stacie and her team have created innovative programs, including a formal mentoring program using personality-based matching software and leadership development initiatives targeting specific needs at all levels.
“Stacie’s deep understanding of what it takes to be successful in the legal profession and her willingness to pay it forward with colleagues exemplify who we are as a firm,” said Stephen Zubiago, CEO and managing partner of Nixon Peabody. “We’re proud that this award recognizes Stacie’s strength as a mentor and her ability to help others grow in their careers.”
Law.com’s New England Legal Awards recognize legal professionals and organizations that have proven themselves in leadership, litigation, mentorship, and community impact, among other initiatives. The publication honored attorneys and legal professionals at an October 8 ceremony in Boston.
