Eric Cesnik is counsel in Nixon Peabody’s Project Finance and Public Finance group. Eric is focused on renewable energy and other infrastructure projects. He has a wide variety of experience with domestic and international project finance transactions including power plants, transmission lines, LNG facilities and greenhouse gas emission reduction projects. Eric’s perspective is informed by his law firm experience and his time working in-house with a private equity firm investing in projects and environmental assets (e.g., CERs and RECs).

The energy industry continues to transform. We are lurching toward cleaner fuels and new technologies that change not only how we generate, distribute and store power but also how we use and think about it. New companies are emerging; regulators and many traditional players are reevaluating their roles. No one knows how things will shake out but energy finance is more interesting than ever as it evolves with the industry.
