I am currently working in the Corporate and Commercial Department. My work involves cross-border investments, mergers and acquisitions, Hong Kong IPOs, and corporate finance.
Prior to my traineeship at Nixon Peabody CWL, I was involved in a number of transactions concerning loan financing, fundraising, and cross border investments.
With the issue of climate change, the World Bank has attempted to encourage both public and private sectors to coordinate and fight climate change. Since the world’s first green bond was issued by the World Bank and European Investment Bank in 2007, there has been a rapid growth in the global green bond market.
In 2019, Hong Kong has become the first Asian signatory to the Green Bond Pledge. The PRC has also taken the role as a leader in the green bond market following the Paris Agreement and has become the second-largest green bond issuer in the world. With Hong Kong’s well-established financial infrastructure, I believe Hong Kong has great potential to become a green finance hub regionally.
