The Supreme Court declines to issue a definitive ruling in Spokeo, Inc. v. Robins, but the six-to-two majority opinion strongly reaffirms the constitutional principle that, in order for a plaintiff to have standing to bring a claim in federal court, the plaintiff must have suffered an actual, concrete injury, even in the context of a claim brought under a statute that affords private relief for purely procedural violations.
