My focus
I move at the speed of business, partnering with employers to navigate workplace challenges with practical, tailored advice. My work spans the full life cycle of employment issues, from counseling clients through sensitive personnel decisions to defending them when disputes arise. I approach each matter by collaborating with each employer, learning the client’s goals, assessing the legal and operational risks, and developing a strategy personalized to each unique situation.
I work alongside employers to build proactive strategies that reduce risk and support effective workplace management. This includes advising on employee retention, disability and pregnancy accommodations, separations, restrictive covenants, employment agreements, handbook policies, and policy enforcement. My goal is to serve as a seamless extension of my clients’ team, providing guidance that is clear, legally sound, and workable for the client’s operations and goals.
I also support employers responding to sensitive workplace concerns. From investigating allegations of misconduct to training Human Resources and supervisors on workplace investigations, discrimination and harassment prevention, and retention issues, I work hand in hand with clients to maintain a productive and safe workplace.
When workplace disputes become formal claims, I represent employers in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies. I have experience defending matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour issues, leave rights, unemployment claims, workers’ compensation matters, wrongful termination allegations, and employment-related agreements. Throughout the litigation process, I work to position clients for efficient resolution while preparing each matter with the care and coordination needed for contested proceedings.
