Matthew Eaton represents both public and private companies in general corporate matters and mergers and acquisitions.
Matthew Eaton is admitted to practice in Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, and the US District Court of the State of Vermont, and is supervised by members of the firm who are members of the New York bar.
I work with both public and private companies in a variety of industries, assisting them in accomplishing their M&A transactions; particularly focusing on drafting agreements and resolutions, providing early risk detection, due diligence, and entity formation. Additionally, I represent businesses in commercial transactions, and advise clients on general corporate matters and corporate governance.
I believe that we are going to see an increase in M&A transaction volume when we see a more definitive direction in the U.S. economy; entities will either become more comfortable with a higher cost of borrowing and resume spending, or in the event of a recession there will be an increase in distressed transactions.
