Introduction
Jason Reis is counsel in Nixon Peabody’s Corporate Practice Group. Jason has extensive experience in domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements, capital market transactions, and general corporate governance and finance matters.
My focus
I serve as corporate counsel for multinational public and private companies, advising boards, investors, executives and business stakeholders in legal and business matters across software, cyber security and data privacy, digital marketing, manufacturing, government contracting, financial services, biotech and healthcare industries. I have experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, debt financing, technology licensing, general corporate, and real estate matters. I advise companies in a broad range of technology transactions involving XaaS licensing, partner and strategic alliances, and developer, OEM, reseller, joint venture and other US and foreign transactions, covering products and services in a variety of industries.
Looking ahead
As outside counsel strive to remain aligned and synchronized with their corporate clients, they will also need to demonstrate familiarity and competency with the technology and tools used by their clients. Otherwise, they could risk being perceived as archaic or not attuned to their needs.
