Denise DeArmond is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s M&A and Corporate Transactions practice group.
Denise is admitted to practice in Illinois and is supervised by attorneys who are members of the District of Columbia bar.
I counsel public and private companies on corporate and business law matters, particularly in connection with mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, debt financing, private securities offerings, corporate restructurings, and other complex commercial transactions. Working with companies in a variety of industries, I provide strategically drafted agreements, early risk detection, and due diligence in middle-and upper-market M&A transactions.
I also advise early-stage companies on choice-of-entity, corporate governance, and financing.
Both the United States and foreign governments are increasing their scrutiny of cross-border transactions. I expect this trend to increase in the foreseeable future. For strategic buyers and equity investors, this poses an additional hurdle to consummating deals.
