Jared Lusk is a partner in our Real Estate practice group and the Managing Partner for the Rochester office of the firm. The primary focus of his practice is real estate development, renewable energy projects, and municipal law, including planning and zoning.
I enjoy representing a wide variety of landowners, developers, municipalities, retailers, public utilities, wind and other energy producers and developers throughout the country. Having formerly served as town attorney managing land use matters for the Town of Pittsford, New York, I’m well-versed in the state’s various land use and zoning regulations. I help my clients with all types of real estate transactions and help them comply with the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act, the Adirondack Park Agency Act and other applicable land use regulations so that projects receive the municipal approvals necessary to become reality, often in the face of significant opposition from neighbors or local governments.
Building on my experience growing up on a small family dairy farm in Upstate New York, I also enjoy working in virtually all aspects of the agribusiness industry, ranging from farm leases to the development and financing of large food processing facilities.
Through relationships built during my 29-year service as a volunteer firefighter, I’m also proud to represent a number of fire and emergency service providers.
We are seeing significant investment in “5G” wireless telecommunications, renewable energy, and agribusiness industries across the country. I enjoy working on projects that “connect” communities to the latest communication technology as well as projects that provide both regional and international markets for fresh agricultural products and byproducts.
