New York, NY. Nixon Peabody LLP has hired prominent corporate restructuring attorney Frank A. Oswald, who brings decades of Chapter 11 bankruptcy experience and deep relationships with key constituencies in complex restructurings. Frank will serve as co-leader of the firm’s Financial Restructuring & Bankruptcy team.
In his practice, Frank focuses on bankruptcy, out-of-court restructurings, and creditors’ rights matters, having represented a wide range of clients across all facets of bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 11 debtors, bankruptcy trustees, creditors’ committees, secured and unsecured creditors, distressed investors, fiduciaries, and asset acquirers. He joins Nixon Peabody’s New York City office as a partner in the firm’s Corporate practice.
“Frank is a highly regarded professional and thought leader in the restructuring community, whose depth of experience, skills, and network are immediate assets to our clients,” said Rick Pedone, Nixon Peabody partner and co-leader of the Financial Restructuring & Bankruptcy team. “Our full-service platform is well-suited to Frank’s practice, which intersects with several of the firm’s industry-focused areas, such as corporate trust, healthcare, financial services, and real estate. We are especially pleased that our clients will benefit from Frank’s experience with middle-market restructurings.”
This industry alignment supports Nixon Peabody’s sector-led growth strategy by delivering an integrated, full-service solution to clients operating in complex, highly regulated, and asset-intensive environments. Likewise, Frank’s experience and relationships present opportunities to expand the firm’s restructuring work.
“Having led or played key roles in many significant Chapter 11 cases and distressed transactions, it’s no surprise Frank is widely recognized in the restructuring community,” said Richard Langan, managing partner of Nixon Peabody’s New York City office and also a member of the Corporate practice. “In addition to his track record, Frank is an excellent fit for our firm’s collaborative culture, and we’re thrilled to have him join us.”
