Melville, NY. Nixon Peabody LLP is proud to announce that partner Timothy D. Sini has been selected by Long Island Business News as one of its 2026 “Leaders in Law.”
The Leaders in Law Awards recognize dedicated individuals whose leadership, both in the legal profession and in the community, has created a positive impact on Long Island. Recipients of these awards demonstrate outstanding achievements, involvement in their profession, and support of the community, according to the publication.
Tim serves as chair of Nixon Peabody’s Litigation Department, with more than 300 attorneys nationwide, and is a member of the firm’s Management Committee. In addition, he is a member of Nixon Peabody’s Government Investigations & White-Collar Defense practice and Congressional Investigations and Crisis Management teams.

Tim has built a distinguished career centered on white-collar matters and government investigations, civil litigation, and crisis management for a portfolio of clients around the globe. Prior to joining Nixon Peabody in 2022, he was the elected district attorney for Suffolk County, New York, and he previously served as an assistant US Attorney for the Southern District of New York and as commissioner of the Suffolk County Police Department.
