Loren Shokes is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Entertainment and Sports practice group. Loren has extensive experience representing professionals in the entertainment and sports industries, including recording artists, music producers, athletes, fashion designers, actors, and models.
My focus
I advise clients across the entertainment, sports, consumer products, luxury fashion, and media industries on intellectual property, technology, e-commerce, privacy, and cybersecurity matters. My practice centers on advising corporations, private equity firms, artists, athletes, and entrepreneurs in connection with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, debt financings, and other complex transactions, as well as standalone agreements, including licensing, collaboration, branding, and sponsorship arrangements.
Looking ahead
The entertainment and sports sectors are rapidly evolving as technology, media, and capital converge. Streaming, NIL (name, image, likeness), and private equity are reshaping business models and creating new opportunities for growth, with increased focus on IP, data, and brand presence.
