New York, NY. Nixon Peabody LLP continues to expand its Corporate practice with the addition of partner Oliver Olah, who focuses his practice on domestic and cross-border private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions.
Based in the firm’s New York City office, Oliver brings a deep bench of legal and industry skills specifically in technology, consumer products and retail, energy, infrastructure, and industrials. He advises private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and strategic buyers and sellers on domestic and cross-border M&A and investment transactions, with a particular emphasis on US and European inbound and outbound transactional matters.
“Oliver’s deep experience across the full lifecycle of private equity investments as well as large-cap and middle-market M&A transactions, dovetails well with our group,” said Nixon Peabody partner Todd Tidgewell, leader of the firm’s Corporate practice. “The breadth of our international platform will benefit both his clients and his robust practice. We are excited to welcome Oliver to the firm.”
Oliver guides clients and senior management from a variety of jurisdictions on their buy-side and sell-side assignments, including acquisitions, divestitures, auctions, bid processes, joint ventures, co-investments, and other transactional matters involving corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships. He also has significant experience counseling sponsor and non-sponsor clients with transactional representations and warranties insurance (RWI) matters.
“Oliver will be a great addition to our office, and his extensive knowledge of domestic and international markets will be invaluable as we continue to support and grow our client base,” said Richard Langan, managing partner of Nixon Peabody’s New York City office and also a member of the Corporate practice. “In addition to strengthening our core corporate capabilities, Oliver’s thoughtful and collegial nature make him an excellent fit with our firm’s culture.”
