Boston, MA. Nixon Peabody LLP is pleased to announce that the firm’s Women in Dealmaking initiative was awarded the “Gender Diversity Advocacy North America Firm of the Year” award at the 2026 Women in Business Law Americas Awards.
Formed in 2021, Women in Dealmaking is a robust national network of trailblazing women leaders in M&A and private equity created to establish strong cross-industry connections, capitalize on new business opportunities, and elevate the voices of women in these spaces to increase equity and impact in a space long dominated by men. This network is now over 1,000 women strong, and it has led directly to significant deals, new streams of work, and lifelong professional connections.
“This award reflects the work Women in Dealmaking is doing to foster a supportive, empowering community and to encourage women in our network to develop business with one another,” said Corporate partner Amy O’Keefe, who co-leads the firm’s Women in Dealmaking initiative. “We are honored by this recognition and remain committed to paving the way for future generations of women leaders in the industry.”
The Women in Dealmaking initiative is co-led by partner Marissa Wiley and counsel Rachel Pugliese, and includes partner Shaziah Singh; counsel Lisa Perri, Tiana Walters, and Emily Holt; and associate Carolyn Glynn.
The Women in Business Law Americas Awards recognizes top women legal practitioners across a wide range of practice areas and aims to celebrate those who are not only breaking new ground in their areas of expertise but are also championing gender diversity in the legal sector. Winners are selected based on criteria such as leadership, client impact, and a dedication to advancing gender balance.
